Rt Hon Olumide Osoba has continued his Community Light-Up Initiative, facilitating the donation of four transformers across the Federal Constituency in 48 hours.

* Bolohunduro Asegongo Community, Adigbe, Oba Ward, Obafemi Owode Local Government – 300KVA Transformer

The interventions have been widely welcomed by residents and community leaders as another impactful step toward improving electricity supply across the constituency.

In a remarkable demonstration of his commitment to improving electricity supply across the constituency, Rt Hon Olumide Osoba, Member representing Abeokuta North, Obafemi Owode & Odeda Federal Constituency, facilitated the distribution of four transformers to communities across the Federal Constituency in 48 hours under his ongoing Community Light-Up Initiative.

The beneficiary communities are:

* Abule Oorun Community, Ibara-Orile/Onisasa Ward 16, Abeokuta North Local Government – 500KVA Transformer

* Akoka Ebute Area Community, Ofada Ward 2, Obafemi Owode Local Government – 500KVA Transformer

In a remarkable demonstration of his commitment to improving electricity supply across the constituency, Rt Hon Olumide Osoba, Member representing Abeokuta North, Obafemi Owode & Odeda Federal Constituency, facilitated the distribution of three 500KVA transformers to communities within the Federal Constituency in the last 24 hours under his ongoing Community Light-Up Initiative.

RT HON OLUMIDE OSOBA EXTENDS COMMUNITY LIGHT-UP INITIATIVE TO AKOKA EBUTE AREA COMMUNITY, OBAFEMI OWODE LOCAL GOVERNMENT, DONATES 500KVA TRANSFORMER

In continuation of his Community Light-Up Initiative, Rt Hon Olumide Osoba, Member representing Abeokuta North, Obafemi Owode & Odeda Federal Constituency, donated a 500KVA transformer to Akoka Ebute Area Community, Ofada Ward 2, Obafemi Owode Local Government.

The delivery of the transformer was received with excitement and jubilation as residents, community leaders, youths, women, and elders gathered to welcome the intervention. The atmosphere was filled with appreciation and prayers as the community celebrated the project.

The Chairman of Akoka Ebute Area Community Development Council (CDC), Hon Ibine Oladoke, appreciated Rt Hon Olumide Osoba for the donation, describing it as a timely response to the community's needs.

Also, Mrs Ogunbanwo Olugbemisola, Social Welfare Officer, Community Development Council, Ogun State, representing Obafemi Owode Local Government, commended the lawmaker for his commitment to grassroots development and quality representation.

Empowerment and Job Creation for Unemployed Youth in 3 Constituency

Ten unemployed Youths of Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode and Odeda Federal received their employment letters from Rt. Hon Olumide Babatunde Osoba today Saturday 16th October, 2021 They got employment letters into National Taskforce. They were drawn from the three Local Government Areas that make up the Federal Constituency Present at the short handover ceremony were the beneficiaries, Abeokuta North Local Government APC Chairperson Alhaja Faidat Sarumi accompanied by the Local Government Vice Chairman, Alhaji Saba Olanrewaju, woman Leader Mrs Sanni Dayo and others. Also at the event were Hon Adekunle Adeyemi former member House of Representatives, Vice Chairman Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Hon Olusesi Babatunde, Alhaji Rasak Tokunbo who was presented with a car by Hon Olumide Osoba.

Light Up Bode-Olude Market

With the current realities of things towards the end of 2020, the benefits accruable from the provision ofadequate infrastructures, particularly LED street lights, cannot be over-emphasised. It is indeed an essential component of our face-lifting of the businesses of the people of Bode-Olude Market of Opeji Ward in Odeda Local Government Area.

Youth Development and Empowerment

On Youth Development & Empowerment, 50 participants from each Local Government in all 38 wards of the Federal Constituency were dutifully trained on how to draw business proposals/plans, and how to make promotions on social media.

Solar-Powered Street Lights

Street lights are a fundamental component of any city's infrastructure, providing safety and security benefits to communities and businesses. That is why Rep Olumide Osoba has delivered and installed solar-powered street lights in the following locations in Odeda Local government:

10 Installed in Alagbagba Central & Ijemo Fadipe
10 Installed in Ilugun
10 Installed in Unity Estate, Obantoko
10 Installed in Opeji

Covid 19 Palliatives

The effect of Covid 19 was harsh on the economy, which translated to some hardship for the common man. Palliatives were given in the form of electronic funds transfers to indigents, poor and aged people to ease hardship and cushion the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic in the month of April and May.

People Empowerment Programme

At the town hall meeting over a hundred and fifty men, women and youths were empowered with equipment such as Sewing Machines, Motorcycles, Deep Freezers, Grinding Machines for self-sustenance and sufficiency.

Youth Financial Support

For Youths on Entrepreneurship Acquisition, funds were disbursed to 25 youths for development of their existing businesses in all 38 wards in the Federal Constituency.

Market Women Financial Empowerment

Many families rely on women to care for them and to provide basic necessities for survival. Women’s empowerment, especially market women, is essential in any society to achieve good nutrition and sustainable and resilient livelihoods. In recognition of this, a hundred market women (100) in each Local Government in all 38 wards of the Federal Constituency received funds to boost their sources of livelihood to support their families.
